Child Therapy

In the systemic approach the therapist facilitates the role of the parents while remaining affiliated to the child.

Family meetings enable the child to more easily talk about her/his problems while minimizing the possibility of a rift with the family.

Its aim is :

To solve the problems presented by the child, by family discussions, and using drawings or stories when required.

To help parents think about their own personal conflicts and differences, which may be related to their child’s problems.

Jane Lovell-Taylor Marsh trained with John Byng Hall, a psychiatrist and family therapist at the London Tavistock Clinic, and with Salvador Minuchin, a psychiatrist and family therapist at the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center.
